Supply Technician II – Kunia, HI - 945 Role Purpose – To produce a reliable supply of high quality seed by executing production plant tasks assign by Plant Management. To assist with duties of packaging seed by performing quality checks, monitoring correct package type per work order, check bag weights, and palletize. Warehouse seed to insure correct inventory, protect quality and package appearance. To perform warehouse inventory counts. Assist maintenance manager with plant equipment repairs and warehouse maintenance during summer months. Foster an operational culture founded on HSE and process improvement. Accountabilities – Tasks may include but not limited to: Corn and/or Soybean: Growing Area manager, Asst. District/Area Manager, Bulk Storage Coordinator, Machine Operator, Cut/Pull Operator, Forklift Operator, Husker Operator, Pick-Stockpiler-Load Assembly, Loader/Checkers, Machine Movers, General Maintenance, Product Admin. Asst., Sizer Operator, Cleaner Operator, Truck Drivers Semi/Tandem, Male Delayer, Plant HSE Asst., Harvest Coordinator Asst, Tractor and Harvest equipment operator. Learn and understand: Operating procedures of bagging equipment, Syngenta quality standards expected of bagged products, seed clean-down procedures between variety changes to insure variety purity, warehouse positions and inventory procedures Perform quality checks and record finding onto lot quality assurance records Provide assistants to maintenance manager on plant and warehouse repairs Help with bulk bag compacting, Q-Bit box washing and pallet repair Help in other areas of plant and warehouse as workload requires GPS mapping fields Knowledge, experience & capabilities – Critical knowledge • Must be High School graduate or GED degree • Associate degree is preferred • Commercial Pesticide Applicators License preferred Critical experience • 1 year Seed industry, Ag Business or Ag related experience preferred • Maintenance and welding experience preferred but not necessary Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities • Good communication skills while working with co-workers to accomplish conditioning/packaging goals • Good organization skills during planning of daily work activities and conditioning schedules • Team Orientated to work with everyone at the plant to successfully complete work schedule and to accomplish safety targets • Some PC and business software skills • Some supervisory skills • Decisive • Trusted -will need to make good sound judgment calls in regards to seed quality management that will be for the best interest of the company • Results-oriented • Innovative - always look to implement new procedures or technologies to improve work efficiencies • Ability to adapt to changing environmental/situational needs • Ability to make timely, effective decisions.
