| TEST ENGINEERING SUPPORT CURRENT SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED. Provide test-engineering support for SSN688 class submarine availabilities for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF. b. Test Engineering duties shall include, but are not limited to: Act as the primary deck-plate facilitator of the Shipboard Test Program within their assigned area of responsibility and perform other duties prescribed by the Chief Test Engineer (CTE). (a) Work to progress and coordinate the execution of work authorization, work completion, testing, and operations necessary to progress test priorities. Inform the CTE/ACTE of any delays or developments that warrant re-evaluation of priorities or affect ability to meet project schedules. (b) Check regularly on the progress and proper performance of ongoing testing. Progress and coordinate testing and operations as necessary to meet project test schedules and priorities. (c) Be informed of all test failures and ensure that test failures are hand routed for immediate resolution. Inform and discuss test failures with key personnel (Zone Manager and ACTE HM&E / ACTE-W). (d) Be knowledgeable of pending work control actions with special focus on priority/critical path WAF and Tag-out actions. Support opening WAFs and progressing tag-outs as time permits. Coordinate with work control personnel to keep all test-related work control actions moving. (e) Utilize direct communication techniques to minimize misunderstandings between the Shipyard s intentions for planned testing, troubleshooting, etc., and what Ship s Force understands will be accomplished | |
